All of us attend numerous weddings throughout the year. How many of them manage to stay in our memories? Moreover, why is it that some wedding memories last longer than the other ones?
Of course, the ones in which our very close relatives wed will consume our mind memories more than others. But, let’s not be biased for a moment and try to think in general…
If you spend a little time on this, it wouldn’t be hard for you to figure out that the weddings that are customized make more impact and stay for a longer time in our memories than others. And there are many ways to customize your wedding. One of the simplest way to do it is by taking into account the time and hence the season in which you decide to wed!
Seasonal touch isn’t hard to give to a wedding. All it requires is a little amount of thought since the time the wedding date is decided. There are four important pillars on which you can plan to manifest your seasonal wedding.

  1. Wedding Décor

Chiefly, this pillar has got to deal with the Flowers and the Mandap arrangement. If your wedding is in winter season, you can choose from the variety of winter flowers such as Alyssum, Snapdragon, Aster, Pot Marigold, Clarkia, Dianthus, Hollyhock, Larkspur, Pansy, Petunia, Phlox, Salvia, Sweetpea, Verbena, or Statice. In case it is in summer, the list of flowers that you need go through is Balsam, Cosmos, Gaillardia, Gomphrena, Portulaca, French Marigold, Nasturtium, Sunflower, or Zinnia. For monsoon weddings, the flowers available are Hibiscus, Lotus, Gulmohar, Jasmine, Plumeria, or Monsoon Cassia.

The Mandap arrangement can vary accordingly. For winter and monsoon weddings, you can take a call of whether to do it in the open air or in a banquet. So that the freezing winds and rain does become a trouble for your wedding and the guests present in it. Whereas, for summer weddings you need to think of an arrangement which cannot exhaust the guests inside the Mandap during the daylight!

2. Food and Drinks

If you are a keen observer of weddings and the discipline inside, your mind must recall some of those under-disciplined weddings, the drinks option in which had a variety of cold juices for you in chilly winters! Or high-temperature carrying soups in hot summers!

And if you distill out a memory of the wedding that you enjoyed eating at, there will be one wherein the menu had hot Barbeques or Pakoras. By chance, if you will ask yourself why do you remember it more than the Barbeque or Pakoras that you’ve had at other weddings too? You will get “because they were served to you in monsoons!” as an answer.

So, you see how this pillar of Food and Drinks makes a wedding distinctly stand out from the other? And if you give it a seasonal touch by customizing the winter/summer/monsoon cuisine and drinks, nothing like that!

3. Seasonal theme of wedding ceremonies

Say if it’s a summer wedding there can be a Haldi ceremony starting at early six followed by a pool party! Correspondingly, if it’s a winter wedding there could be bon-fire with Sangeet ceremony in the evening. By making the use of forecast facility you can arrange a Cocktail party just when the rain is about to begin, this applies if you are planning a monsoon wedding!

4. Wedding attire

If you are planning to wed, you probably know by your friends who have already wed, about their wedding attire experience. And that is something you can put into application. If you plan to wed in hot summers breathable fabrics such as linen, cotton or the fusion of these two makes sense. In case the season you chose to wed is winter, the choice of suggested fabrics is Velvet, Brocade, Taffeta, Moire, Gabardine, or Lame. Suitable monsoon wedding fabrics are Chiffon, Silk, Poly-blends, or Duchess Satin.
