/  Design   /  What will Indian weddings look like in 2021?

Moving forward is progressing. It’s an innate ability of time to make us all try things differently than we did before. And that’s what brings change in any industry. As, we transform from one year to the other, our ways of doing things, looking at perspective changes. Minutely to an extent that we are not all the time aware of it, but it does changes. That’s what our article is about. Putting forward in front of you some subtle improvements that the current year would bring in the way weddings will happen here onwards.

Of course, the factor that has brought this change is undoubtedly the spread of Covid-19. Because of which the world was put to a hold for some time and so were the weddings. And now when things are easing out, weddings are finding their hold. But, as there would be in any industry, so there would be in weddings as well “a new normal.” We bring to some trends that will be make up this “new normal,” and influence how weddings used to happen before.

  • Hotel chains with stricter safety protocols will be favored.

If there has been one word which has been top concerns of people today, its health-safety. For the same reason, people preferring for destination wedding will look out for hoteliers that do not compromise on their safety protocols. Humans are now aware of the fact that one let-go can lead to a major disruption in their complete planning. And they have been enlightened about this because of the pandemic in which a micro-virus is seen to have such a great impact on us.

  • #Vocal for local artisans

This is the second top realization that’s doomed upon us. We cannot overcome the geographical limitation that we are located in. Moreover, we should find options of scaling down our ideas according to our locality. And doing so reduces uncertainty. So, traditional weaves are expected to receive massive comeback. India’s traditional bridal wardrobes like the banarasi, kanjeevaram, phulkari, etc will strive to give its economy a strong support for making recovery.

  1. Spacious locations will be a top priority

The need of social distancing will stay for a while, even when the pandemic gets over. And this is why couples will choose and in fact they are currently choosing venues wherein their families and guests can enjoy without any fear of getting infected. This also means that destination weddings will see a spike.
